Although 2020 was a tough year, singers and songwriters worldwide were still able to spread smiles through homes, and provide entertainment to many. I have selected the top ten singers and song groups of this year.
10. Ava Max
In 2018, Ava Max rapidly became famous with her hit single “Sweet but Psycho.” The 26-year-old released one album in 2020, titled “Heaven & Hell,” which included the hit song “Kings & Queens.” The jammable “Kings & Queens” single has reached many ears over the year, donning the crown of the number one song on Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs. It also reached the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 13 and reached the UK Singles Chart at number 19.
9. Cardi B
Except that Cardi B released only one song in 2020, she deserves a place on this list. "WAP," which is a landmark release in 2020, is the lead track for his upcoming studio album. “WAP” has reached many, many charts, gaining a peak of 16 charts throughout the year 2020. With 10.1 million views within 24 hours on youtube, it became the most watched Youtube video in 24 hours, the most viewed Youtube music video in 24 hours, and the most watched Youtube music video by the K- team pop in 24 hours. By the end of 2020, Dynamite was ranked 7th out of Billboard's top 100 songs, 2nd of New York Times' 2020 best songs, and at the highest level, made history as it reached 1st in Billboard's Global Top 200.
